Innovation and tradition share equally deep roots at SCARPA, which to this day remains a family owned company with its headquarters and performance footwear manufacturing facilities in the same regions of northern Italy where it got its start in 1938.
Founded in the foothills of the Dolomite Mountains, in the Asolo / Montebelluna region, an area long known for its quality, handcrafted footwear, SCARPA’s initial mission was to bring together all the best shoemakers in the Asolo area toward the goal of producing the best footwear anywhere. SCARPA stands for Società Calzaturiera Asolana Riunita Pedemontana Anonima, which means Associated Shoe Manufacturing Company of the Asolo Mountain Area.
The Moraine Mid GTX is the mid boot designed as a first hiking shoe. Versatile and functional, it is comfortable right from the first fit, designed for the feet of all walkers who approach the outdoors for both short and long walks. In addition to the Nubuck and mesh suede, there are also technical details such as the GORE-TEX® Bluesign membrane that guarantees waterproofing, and the RECCO system for traceability in case of rescue.
The Rush Trk LT GTX is a lightweight ripstop fabric version of the ever popular Rush GTX and has been designed for short or daily hikes. It’s a comfortable boot with technologies that help reduce foot fatigue during activity. The right mix of comfort, stability and lightness.
