Since Hanwag was founded in 1921, they have been continually developing. Over the years, new techniques, new functions, new requirements and new footwear trends have all left their mark. Their shoe developers and the Hanwag team continue to pioneer new innovations. Despite this, tradition has always played an important role at Hanwag. To this day, they only use two shoemaking techniques to make all our footwear: the cemented construction and double stitching. Their special lasts are also part of the secret of their success, as is only using the highest-quality materials when it comes to leather, lining and sole technology. In order to support the long-lasting durability of Hanwag footwear, it’s a good idea to clean and impregnate your boots regularly. All their footwear is fully resoleable.
