Their shoe developers and the Hanwag team continue to pioneer new innovations. Despite this, tradition has always played an important role at Hanwag. To this day, they only use two shoemaking techniques to make all our footwear: the cemented construction and double stitching. Their special lasts are also part of the secret of their success, as is only using the highest-quality materials when it comes to leather, lining and sole technology. In order to support the long-lasting durability of Hanwag footwear, it’s a good idea to clean and impregnate your boots regularly. All their footwear is fully resoleable.
Hanwag Alta Bunion GTX
Lightweight, leather boot for people with hallux valgus. Bunion last for wearers with hallux valgus, reinforcing heel tension element, padded soft leather cuff with vent holes. Inside: no seams at the big toe joint.
Banks GTX
A lightweight and comfortable boot for hiking and trekking as well as other outdoor activities. It features a Gore-Tex lining to offer excellent wet weather protection as well as breathability to ensure a healthy environment for your foot. The Air-Pulse system in the boot helps to maintain air circulation for enhanced comfort even on long days out, it works thanks to a pumping action in the tongue and cushioning everytime you take a step. The sole of the boot can be replaced too so even if you wear them out you can keep hold of what will surely become your trusty, beloved boots.

Multifunctional and resource-saving – the Blueridge is a mid-cut model for mountain hikes and tours in lower hilly ranges with a light pack. With a waterproof and PFC-free HANWAG EcoShell membrane and robust Perwanger leather upper.

Modern styling, light and multifunctional – the Blueridge ES is a lightweight hiking shoe for a range of uses, loaded with innovative sustainability features. Such as the use of durable Perwanger leather for the upper, or the `Global Recycling Standard´ 100% recycled fabric element of the upper, and the PFC-free waterproof membrane. Waterproof, breathable, sustainable – HANWAG designed its proprietary PU membrane based on a complex, hydrophilic system that achieves waterproofing and breathability, without the use of fluorocarbons. This is applied in a sturdy three-layer laminate. All materials used for the Blueridge ES are sourced from European suppliers and it’s entirely made in Europe. But durability and sustainability don’t have to come at the cost of functionality and comfort. And the Blueridge ES’s perfect fit and newly developed midsole goes to prove it! The midsole has a three-dimensional structure made of compact and expanded polyurethane that cups the foot for all-round comfort. The raised edge of the sole made of stabilising PU offers greater support on all sides and at the heel. Thermoformed PU foam in the HANWAG 3D-BreathFit tongue compensates for the anatomically asymmetrical shape of the foot with asymmetric padding and adapts to the individual shape of your feet. With a non-slip ‘Terragrip’ outsole with four-millimetre-deep tread, extra-large lugs and wider contact area, the heel strike and roll-off performance are effortless and smooth. This makes the modern-styled Blueridge ES at home on a range of terrain – from damp, autumnal foothills through to sandy, Mediterranean coastal hikes.
